Join Us for a Very Special Eighteenth Thomian Carol Service
A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols 2026
Celebrating 175 Years of S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia
Dear Fellow Thomians, Families and Friends,
You are warmly invited to join us for a much-loved Thomian tradition, the Eighteenth Thomian Carol Service, A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, presented by the Thomian Choir of the S. Thomas’ College Old Boys’ Association NSW/ACT.
This year’s Service will be especially significant as we celebrate it during the 175th Anniversary year of S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia, 175 years of faith, tradition and excellence. It will be a special occasion to give thanks for the generations who have gone before us, while celebrating the faith and traditions that continue to bind the Thomian family together.
Date: Saturday, 28th November 2026
Time: 6.30 PM
Venue: All Saints Church, Parramatta (29 Elizabeth Street, Parramatta)
As we gather once again in the spirit of Christmas, we will share in the timeless tradition of the Nine Lessons and Carols, Scripture, prayer, carols, and a Christmas message reminding us anew of the hope and eternal significance of God’s love revealed in Christ.
This year’s Christmas Message will be delivered by the Reverend Marc Billimoria, former Warden of S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia. His return to the Thomian community during this milestone anniversary year will add particular meaning to an evening of worship, reflection and thanksgiving.
The Thomian Choir, conducted by David Sansoni and accompanied by Nicholas Morley at the organ, will once again bring to life a programme of traditional and contemporary carols, rich in harmony and spirit, honouring a treasured tradition while proclaiming the living faith at its heart.
And in this special 175th Anniversary year, the Nine Lessons will be read by Old Thomians representing different generations and decades of College life, symbolically bringing together, through Scripture, the generations that form the continuing story of S. Thomas’.
As our feature article, Through the Years, the Carol Still Rings, so beautifully reminds us, this cherished Service is more than a concert. It is a sacred retelling of the story of hope and redemption, bringing generations together in joy and thanksgiving.
Come with your family. Bring your friends. Come and share in the carols, worship and fellowship as we prepare our hearts for Christmas.
Whether your memories of College are recent or belong to another generation, or whether you simply share a connection with the Thomian family, you are warmly welcome.
Let us make this 175th Anniversary Carol Service a memorable celebration of faith, fellowship, gratitude and the enduring Thomian spirit.
We look forward to welcoming you.
