The Feast of the Transfiguration
A Sacred Thomian Tradition
Sunday 2nd August 2026 | 6:30 PM | All Saints Anglican Church, Parramatta
Dear Fellow Thomians, Family and Friends,
We warmly invite you to gather in worship and thanksgiving for the annual
Feast of the Transfiguration, a solemn and sacred tradition of the S. Thomas’ College Old Boys’ Association NSW/ACT. This commemorative service reflects our deep spiritual heritage and pays homage to the very event to which our beloved College Chapel in Mount Lavinia is dedicated.
The Transfiguration, where Christ revealed His divine glory before Peter, James and John, remains a profound moment in the Christian narrative, a glimpse of majesty and mystery that echoes across the generations. It calls us, in the words of the Father, to “Hear Him.”
This year’s observance is especially significant as we celebrate the 175th Anniversary of the founding of S.Thomas’ College Mt Lavinia. The message will be delivered by the Reverend Hui Shin, Senior Minister at All Saints Church Parramatta.
We urge all alumni, their families and friends to join us on this hallowed evening. Let us come together in prayer, in fellowship, and in remembrance—transfigured, as Paul writes, “into His likeness with ever-increasing glory.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)
Let us uphold this beautiful tradition with reverence, and allow Christ’s radiance to renew and transform us afresh.
