STC OBA NSW/ACT Annual General Meeting and New Committee 2025/26
We are delighted to announce the newly elected OBA committee for the forthcoming period 2025 - 2026. The new committee was appointed at the AGM that concluded on Sunday 26th October 2025 with President pro tempore Milroy Berenger.
Like past years, many Thomians both young and old gathered at the Baulkham Hills Community Centre for the STC OBA NSW/ACT AGM 2025. The afternoon kicked off with the formal proceedings followed by fellowship dinner.
The guest speaker for this year’s AGM was past president Rukmal (Rocky) Wijesooriya. He reflected on his wealth of experience and highlighted the importance of giving back and supporting one another.
Kumar Rasiah took a moment to highlight some of the challenges faced by St. Thomas’ College Gurutalawa and appealed to our old boys to support initiatives to develop and uplift the school and the wider community in Gurutalawa. Kindly reach out if you would like to be connected or find out how you can partner financially or contribute your efforts towards these initiatives.
This year we had the honour of celebrating a young centenarian’s birthday. We wished Tissa Goonatilaka a very Happy Birthday as he cut a cake and accepted a special plaque from the STC OBA NSW/ACT.
This year, three of our long serving committee members decided to step down from their roles. Thank you Rishantha Rajakaruna (Secretary), Sanjiv Vivekanandan (Past President) and Duke Ramachandran (our talented emcee) for your immense contribution to the OBA over the years. These changes paved the way for three young members to take up roles in the committee. We thank our returning committee members for joining us for another exciting year and extend a warm welcome to our latest inductees.
